Encryption-less authentication IC with strong security

However, recent technological improvements have made attacks on encryption circuits more sophisticated, and there are more and more cases where security cannot be guaranteed. Our Encryption-less authentication ICs do not store keys in memory, thus providing a stronger level of security.
Features of Encryption-less Authentication IC
1. No key information to be stolen
Conventional authentication ICs obtain key information from nonvolatile memory and use it as the key to the encryption circuits for authentication. With this method, there is a risk of security breach by copying the circuit information from the IC chip information (dead copy). The difficulty of acquiring key information from nonvolatile memory is also decreasing with the development of technology.
This authentication IC can increase the security strength by using weak analog signals, which is different from the conventional method.
2. Method of using analog signals as expected values
Normally, handling weak analog signals requires multiple IC chips and board wiring, etc., but we can provide all the analog sensing functions necessary for authentication on a single chip that can be easily wired to a board.
3. Noise-resistant method
In order to handle weak and characteristic analog signals, the influence of noise such as equipment noise is a concern. While low noise in analog sensing circuits is essential, a further countermeasure is to use frequency analysis to remove unnecessary noise components and extract only the necessary frequency components, thereby reducing the effects of malfunctions caused by noise.
